Despite already spending heavily this summer, Sunderland is reportedly considering a move to sign the La Liga star, which currently has a release clause worth around £26 million.
Sunderland’s impressive summer business is expected to continue
Although not many, perhaps even the most optimistic of fans, saw it coming, Sunderland has enjoyed an incredible transfer window so far. The Black Cat is welcoming six fresh faces, and will stand out especially for viewing next season by Simon Adintra, Kemshin Talbi, Noah Sadiki and Habib Diara.
The latest to be presented as a Sunderland player, Adingra spoke to the club’s website after arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion. “It’s a joy to be here and I can’t wait to get started. The clubs and projects are really exciting. I talked to everyone and spoke to me about their interests.
“Playing in the Premier League has been my dream since I was a kid, so it’s incredible to continue doing that, and that’s a huge challenge going forward.
The talented winger forms part of the new look Sunderland attack that the Black Cat can act for the first time on a preseason trip to Portugal.
However, those returning to Wearside may not be in the transfer business amid reports that even as preseasons are underway, another offensive option may be in sight.
Sunderland considering Tsygankov Swoop
As reported by Diali de Girona and relayed by sports witnesses, Sunderland is considering a move to sign Victor Zugankov from Girona this year. The newly promoted party has received a positive scouting report on the Ukraine international and has now managed to move to trigger his release clause of 30 million euros (£26 million).
League statistics 24/25 (via FBREF) | Tsygankov | Adlinra |
---|---|---|

Key Pass | 33 | 16 |
The Girona man didn’t enjoy the best production of last season, but he was better than the new guy from Sunderland in Adingra.
Called “outrageous” at the start of his career by Scout Jace Krigg, the move to the Premier League may be exactly what Tsygankov needs to rediscover his best form in front of goals.

Meanwhile, as they tried to form the underrated frontline, Sunderland was able to welcome players who had experienced life in the Champions League. Even at age 27, Tsygankov should be at the peak of his power, and may soon prove to be a bargain for just £26 million this summer.
