Atletico Madrid winger Samuel Reno has been linked to travelling from the club, and Everton is one of the teams reportedly interested in signing him.

Everton wants to add more quality and depth across the wider region, targeting Brazilians. According to a report by Fichajes, several clubs have asked about players including Toffee.

Reno was linked to Aston Villa last season. Other reports claim that Chelsea had been keen on him in the past.

Samuel Reno needs game time

It will be interesting to see if Atletico Madrid is willing to sanction his departure. The 25-year-old is not considered an essential asset for the Spanish club and is keen to play regularly next season. He is open to listening to offers this summer. Atletico Madrid is unlikely to get in his way if the appropriate offer is presented.

The 25-year-old is about to join a club where he is given ample opportunity and he may seek guarantees on match times from Everton.

Everton certainly has the resources to close the transaction. It remains to be seen whether they will come forward with specific suggestions. Toffee is overly dependent on things like Dwight McNeal and Jack Harrison (while he’s on loan) on the sides, and needs more depth in that area of the pitch.

Reno could prove to be an ideal acquisition. At the age of 25, he was at the peak of his strength and was able to immediately influence him in the Premier League. It would be difficult for him to turn down the opportunity to join the Premier League.

Everton is one of the biggest clubs in the UK and an attractive destination for Brazilians. It is still unclear how things will develop over the next few weeks.
