Earlier this month, Tristan H. Cockcroft and I evaluated the most dependable touchdown scorers among running backs by analyzing goal line data, player traits, and offensive schemes. Now, it’s time to apply the same method—combining static data with game tape—to identify the top wide receivers expected to reach the end zone in 2025.

In 2024, eight receivers recorded double-digit touchdown receptions, and 20 players had more than eight. The top four fantasy wide receivers in PPR leagues all scored at least 10 touchdowns, highlighting the crucial nature of six-point grabs in scoring formats.

Here’s our projected top 10 touchdown-scoring wide receivers for the 2025 season:

1. Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals: Leading the NFL with 17 touchdowns in 2024, Chase excelled by converting a league-high 19 end zone targets and 35 red zone looks into scores. His explosive playmaking across all field levels and role in Joe Burrow’s pass-heavy offense cement him as the consensus No. 1 draft pick this summer.

2. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Despite turning 32 this August, Evans remains a threat in the red zone with 9 scores on 16 end zone targets last year, and 25 touchdowns on red zone throws over three seasons. His physicality, speed, and catch radius make him a consistent Baker Mayfield target, anchoring his WR2 fantasy value.

3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: With 12 touchdowns on 15 goal-to-go targets in 2024, St. Brown’s versatility in alignments and route schemes adds value. Ranking fourth in the NFL with 28 touchdowns over three seasons, he thrives under coordinator John Morton and remains a primary target in passing offenses.

4. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings: The premier route runner in the league, Jefferson tallied 18 end zone targets and 25 red zone looks last year. His ability to separate with precise cuts and finishes, combined with a QB-friendly scheme under Kevin O’Connell, primes him for another strong touchdown season.

5. Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders: McLaurin’s touchdown totals surged with new QB Jayden Daniels, catching 10 of 14 end zone targets in 2024. His three-level threat with quick routes and deep-ball capability, paired with a thriving offensive fit, suggests he can maintain high scoring numbers.

6. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: After a dip to 6 touchdowns last year, Lamb aims to rebound with healthy QB Dak Prescott back. Ranking fifth in touchdowns on end zone targets since 2022 and offering big-play ability, he remains a dynamic scorer in varied alignments.

7. Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars: Showing blue-chip potential in his rookie campaign, Thomas tallied 10 touchdowns and showcased his multi-level threat ability. With steady QB play from Trevor Lawrence and his versatile playstyle, Thomas should generate plenty of scoring chances.

8. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals: Though his rookie year numbers were modest, Harrison made an impact with seven touchdowns on 17 end zone targets. Adding size and improving contested catches may ignite a breakout second season with double-digit touchdowns.

9. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Hill recorded six touchdowns in 2024, totaling 26 over the past three seasons. Known for blazing speed and big-play ability, his success in 2025 will hinge on QB Tua Tagovailoa’s health and offensive rhythm, hoping for a strong rebound year.

10. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons: London scored nine touchdowns last year, aided by his physical presence and route versatility. With second-year QB Michael Penix Jr. expected to boost Falcons’ passing, London is poised to rise as a top scoring threat and potential WR1.

Five additional players who could hit double-digit touchdowns this season include:

– Malik Nabers, New York Giants: Nabers caught 8 touchdowns as a rookie and could see increased targets with potential QB changes.
– Nico Collins, Houston Texans: Collins, a red zone weapon and deep-ball threat, has 15 touchdowns over two seasons.
– AJ Brown, Philadelphia Eagles: Though the Eagles’ run-heavy red zone approach might limit his scores, Brown’s toughness across all levels makes him dangerous.
– Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams: Adams, with 8 touchdowns last season, remains a top-notch route runner fitting into Sean McVay’s offense alongside Puka Nacua.
– Cortland Sutton, Denver Broncos: Sutton caught 8 touchdowns on 17 red zone targets last year, with Denver’s explosive offense expected to elevate his opportunities.
