Brentford star Brian Mbemo reportedly reports to his club that Manchester United’s latest bid for him is “fair” and should be accepted.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, he told the United Stand that if the latest improved bid is not successful, Man UTD appears ready to leave negotiations over MBEUMO.
For more information about Jacobs posted from the United Stand X account, see below…
Jacobs said: “Not only is Man United optimistic to close the deal, but Brian Mbemo himself told Brentford that he thought the offer was fair and that a move should occur before the US tour.
“If Brentford completely rejects his third bid and says it’s not close to the evaluation structure, Man United will leave.”
Will Manchester United ultimately sign Brian Mbeumo?
United’s saga is really dragged out of Mbeumo and we still don’t seem wise if we actually go through.
MUFC fans will definitely be extremely frustrating, but at least as reported by The Guardian yesterday, it doesn’t seem to be completely over yet.
Mbeumo is a great player who is too good to get a big six moves at some point, but of course it’s fair to ask for big money if Brentford leaves.
It will be interesting to prove that this is in the end enough for the bees to let go of Cameroon International, or it will be interesting to see who has to find a replacement.
So far, it’s not the best summer for United
United simply signed Mateus Cunha this summer.
Reuben Amorim’s side was closer to a relegation battle than to challenge in European places, but that would simply not be accepted by clubs of this size.
Mbeumo could have been an ideal addition to offering United a flop upgrade for Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and more.
Still, there is no guarantee that it will happen. Also, who knows how long it will take to find someone else with a similar profile that is affordable?
