If Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz with a British record transfer fee of £116 million, then he is not a favorite to hold the Premier League title, then certainly so if he signed Alexander Isaac.

Many teams around the world dream of bringing Swedes to the club, and Anfield’s outfit was able to make it a reality this summer.

Boy, what a sign this is. ISAK scored 27 goals in all competitions in the previous term. He netted 23 in the Premier League. The only man was Liverpool hero Mosala.

So, Newcastle United forward is such a special talent and I understand that he has no desire to leave St. James Park this summer.

Still, Liverpool is striving and they want to put a lot of money on the table to take him further south to Merseyside.

Latest news on Alexander Isaac from Liverpool to Liverpool

Liverpool dreamed of signing ISAK for the summer, but they haven’t made clear their intentions until this week.

Certainly, athletic David Ornstein dropped a piece of earthquake early in the week when league winners have not made an approach to sign ISAK but have yet to make a formal offer. The Magpie repeated that he was not for sale. That’s despite suggesting that Liverpool is willing to pay around £120 million for his services.

That being said, Sky Sports Reporter Keith Downey suggests that “all players have a price” could bring Newcastle to the negotiation table with a bid of £150 million.

It has already been seen whether the Reds have what they need to put such money there after breaking their once transfer record this summer.

When such money is involved, it feels unlikely to move. That’s why they’re looking for alternatives.

Two Best ISAK Alternatives from Liverpool

The current main striker on the recruitment team radar is Hugo Ekitike. But like the situation at ISAK, it’s a difficult situation. That’s because Newcastle is also involved in this story.

The news was broken early in the week as Newcastle was working on a deal to sign the Frenchman from Eintrak Frankfurt, Germany. But he is also a favorite player for Liverpool.

Ornstein once again revealed on Wednesday that the Merseysiders had contacted the Bundesliga club regarding the move.

Fabrizio Romano has already shown that if Newcastle doesn’t sell Isaac, they are aiming to leave them and steal Toon’s number one target. Well, the wheels are already moving in that move, and Romano revealed on Thursday that a bid was submitted to sign the Frankfurt striker.

Liverpool has other players on the radar. Probably Joan Wissa of Brentford and Marcus Rashford of Manchester United. The most exciting name is Julian Alvarez.

According to a report from Spain in the first half of the window, Liverpool is ready to pay around £142 million ahead of Atletico Madrid, and Bens Boxsack, a reporter for Anfield Watch, has revealed that Argentina is still on the “radar.”

He suggests that Alvarez is a “dream option,” but like Isaac, Atleti is unlikely to sanction sales just a year after taking him from Manchester City to Spain.

How Alvarez compares Isaac and Ekitique

Isaac would be an astounding coup for Liverpool if Liverpool could trade on the line. He is one of the best strikers in the world and has proven he can score goals in the Premier League at regular ratings in the last two campaigns.

By comparison, there are clearly many possibilities for Ekitike. He’s already been called “the next Mbappe” in several quarters, but like Darwin Nunes, he’s a raw talent and someone who still needs to refine his game.

What is Alvarez like? Well, he is now proven not only in the continent with Atleti, but also in the Premier League, which won the trophy after the trophy against Manchester City.

He is also a complete package and is cut from a similar fabric to the Roberto Firmino. This is more than just a scorer. He is a creator, facilitator and someone that Firmino can thrive on either side of Sarah or Cody Gakupo. Dare you say it, is it even on one side with Rodrigo of Real Madrid? Reports say Liverpool is currently leading the race for the Brazilians, but that’s another day.

Called a “monster” by Argentine journalist Pablo Gonzalez and remarkably described as “the best forward in the world” by reporter Roy Nemar, he has finished his debut campaign in the Spanish capital, which scored 29 goals more than Isaac, and has also registered eight assists.

Also, throw your heart into his final term at Asad. In 2023/24 he was prolific in front of goals, bagging 19 goals and registering 14 assists. This is a player who does a lot of the right thing.

A deeper analysis of the numbers over the past two seasons gives us a sense of what Isak and Alvarez are doing well, but mostly from the metrics that have been evaluated, the Argentine superstars are thriving in comparison.

Swedes are clearly prolific per 90 minutes as far as goals are concerned, but Alvarez offers the ability to register more key passes, progressive passes, progressive passes, and add shot-making actions every 90 minutes.

The action of creating a shot is a game that leads to a shot. These include moments like passing, take-on, fouls and more.

This means that even if he doesn’t score that many goals, he leaves a big threat in the final third, offering Fargino-like ability to make things happen with slot attacks.

Isaac is a dream, but here we go and Alvarez has his perks too. His overall game is certainly excellent, that’s certainly true.
