Leeds hopes to add Premier League quality and experience to their team before returning to English Football’s top flight next month. One player who fits the bill was Douglas Lewis.
Elland Road officials have been busy this summer as they aim to ensure Daniel Fark’s team can avoid an immediate relegation from the Premier League. Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Condauw and Gabriel Gudmundsson have already signed, but they have a desire to bring in players with Premier League experience.
Leeds handed the boost in pursuit of Douglas Lewis’ deal
Leeds is said to be interested in signing Lewis this summer. If they pursue a deal with a Brazilian midfielder, they have no problem with him coming through medical care. That’s according to Physiotherapy expert Dr. Blur, according to Leeds Press.
“Leeds may take a closer look at the history of hamstring and muscle damage, assess the risk of recurrence and determine whether there are outliers or high-risk issues. However, based on his record in recent seasons, we do not see him faced with medical problems.
Signed by Aston Villa’s Juventus last summer for £42 million, Lewis is a great addition to Fark’s team and a statement signing Leeds’ intentions ahead of the new season.
However, it is not easy for him to be taken to Elland Road, as many other clubs are said to be interested in securing his services. Man United is enthusiastic, but there are rumors that he will also be returning to Aston Villa.
