Vikings’ Jordan Addison Resolves DUI Cases Without Legal Battle to Lower Fees

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison resolved his 2024 DUI charge by agreeing to a reduced charge, his attorney announced on Thursday. Last July, the California Highway Patrol arrested Addison after he was found sleeping in the driver’s seat of his white Rolls-Royce, following a report of a vehicle obstructing traffic due to impairment.

Addison, who has totaled 1,786 yards, 133 receptions, and 19 touchdowns over two seasons, accepted a “wet reckless” plea in California. His lawyer, Jacqueline Sparagna, stated he will pay a fine and complete two online courses, aiming to shorten his probation from 12 months to six. A “wet reckless” plea means the DUI charge is reduced to reckless driving involving alcohol or medication.

Sparagna said, “Although this case could have gone to trial, I commend Mr. Addison for responsibly accepting the city’s ‘wet and reckless’ offer. Now, he can move past this and focus on his promising career.” Addison’s agent, Tim Younger, added on social media that Addison remains supportive of the organization through the legal process and is fully committed to being a valuable team member. However, Addison may still face disciplinary action from the NFL.
