        • He takes Pedro to the next level: Chelsea offers to sign a £86 million star

There’s still work to do, but Chelsea have been extremely effective in the transfer market this summer.

Enzo Maresca and Co. clearly wanted most of the first team additions before they began before the start of the preseason.

One of the exact opposite teams is Manchester United. Manchester United got Matheus Cunha early, but it took over a month to agree to the Bryan Mbeumo fee.

The Europa League runner-up appears to have finally gotten a guy at a price that could reach £700 million on add-ons. Now it appears that Chelsea wants to sign someone compared to Cameroon International.

Chelsea targets his own Mbeumo

Chelsea should enter a confident season as they added some serious talent in addition to the team that took fourth last year.

The likes of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro definitely make the Maresca side much stronger, and the very exciting Jamie Gittens should add more quality to the left wing position.

Additionally, the West Londoners will ship Noni Maduke to Arsenal for profit and earn a substantial payday to some of the other unwanted players.

However, the conference league champions are not completed there. Now it appears to be determined to bring in a young attacker who could be the answer to Mbeumo.

At least that’s reported by sports witnesses who claim that Chelsea is seriously interested in Zabi Simons, according to a recent report in the Friday print edition of Spanish Publications Sports.

The report reveals that, along with United, the Bruce is in talks over the Dutch international move, but the price of around 70 million euros has proven to be a problem.

It could ultimately be a complicated and expensive transfer, but Simons has proven he’s worth spending heavily, especially as he could become Maresca’s own Mbeumo.

How Simons compares to Mbeumo

One of the most important comparisons between Simons and Mbeumo comes from FBREF, which has analyzed players in the top five leagues, Champions League and Europa League in Europe over the past 365 days.

He then concluded that the Brentford star was the offensive midfielder or winger, fourth-like to the RB Leipzig star.

The best way to understand how that conclusion was reached is to look at some of the underlying metrics in which the pairs are closely ranked.

These numbers help show that he has been a junior for three years, but the former Paris Saint-Germain gem that one analyst called “one of the best teens in the world,” is skilled at creating opportunities and scoring.

Additionally, both players are positionally versatile, and soon the United Stars will thrive on the right side, as a second striker, or at the top, and the Amsterdam-born dynamo can play on the wing or ten.

Finally, both players were effective outlets for their respective teams last season, with Cameroon International scoring 20 goals and providing nine assists in 42 games.

Although it’s not cheap in the end, Chelsea should do what they can to sign Simons this summer, adding serious quality to their team and becoming the perfect answer to Mbeumo.
