Note: Rookie

Marc Marquez clinched the victory at the 2025 Czech MotoGP sprint race in Brno, after his Ducati Lenovo teammate Francesco Bagnaia and others slowed down due to low tire pressure concerns. The results remain provisional as Marquez faces a post-race tire pressure investigation that might affect his win, potentially handing the victory to KTM’s Pedro Acosta.

Bagnaia, who initially lost the lead to Marquez at the first turn, settled back to sixth place after letting Acosta pass. Marquez maintained his lead with a 2.6-second gap over Acosta while managing his tire pressure carefully. Despite Marquez’s strong performance, he along with Alex Rins and Ai Ogura are currently under scrutiny for tire pressure irregularities.

Pedro Acosta secured KTM’s first top-three finish this season and is on track for the team’s maiden sprint win. The top eight also featured Marco Bezzecchi, Fabio Quartararo, Raul Fernandez, and Bagnaia.

The Brno circuit was fully resurfaced ahead of its return to the MotoGP calendar since 2020. Reigning champion Jorge Martin made his return this weekend after an injury, while Maverick Viñales was sidelined with a shoulder injury and replaced by KTM’s Pol Espargaro at Tech3.

Enea Bastianini returned after missing the German GP due to food poisoning. LCR’s Somkiat Chantra continues to recover from knee surgery, with Takaki Nakagami stepping in as his replacement. Franco Morbidelli, who withdrew from Germany due to a shoulder injury, was also absent from this event.

Augusto Fernandez appeared as a Yamaha wild card in the final race before the MotoGP summer break. Fernandez, along with Luca Marini, Miguel Oliveira, and Alex Rins, participated in private testing sessions at Brno earlier.

Fan Take:
This race signals a thrilling and unpredictable season ahead, with top riders facing new challenges like tire pressure limits that could shake up the standings. For racing enthusiasts, the close competition and technical investigations add an extra layer of intrigue and excitement to the MotoGP sport.
