The NHL recently revealed its list of the top 10 forwards under the age of 25, highlighting one standout from the Minnesota Wild who earned the third spot. Among the top young talents, Ottawa’s Tim Stützle made the list, with Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils ranking second, while the Wild’s Matt Boldy secured third place.

At 24 years old, Boldy is entering his fourth NHL season and boasts impressive career stats with 102 goals, 142 assists, and 244 points across 285 games. During the 2024-25 season, he achieved personal bests playing all 82 games, tallying 46 assists, 73 points, 10 game-winning goals, 271 shots, and scoring 2 overtime goals.

In other Minnesota Wild-related updates, former Wild forward Gustav Nyquist signed a one-year, $3.25 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets as of July 2nd. Additionally, the Minnesota Wild announced their schedule for the 2025-26 season, which spans 187 days, matching the length of the previous year. Another former Wild player, enforcer Ryan Reeves, was traded to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.

Fan Take: Matt Boldy’s rise as one of the NHL’s top young forwards signals a bright future for the Minnesota Wild and the league overall. Keeping an eye on emerging stars like Boldy ensures exciting developments in hockey competition and showcases the sport’s evolving talent pool.
