Ellie the Elephant enjoyed a prime view at the 2025 WNBA All-Star Festival on Friday. The New York Liberty mascot witnessed teammates Sabrina Ionescu and Natasha Cloud dominate both the three-point shooting contest and the skills challenge. Ellie was joined at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis by Darling Kate Rinklark of the Indiana Fever to catch all the exciting moments.
Clark and Ellie shared some courtside fun, including a moment when Clark curiously examined the elephant mascot’s wallet, which contained a magnifying glass and binoculars.
Results from the event included Sabrina Ionescu winning the three-point contest, marking a sweep for the New York Liberty. Fans humorously described the playful interaction between Caitlyn Clark and Ellie the Elephant as an unexpected but entertaining crossover moment.
Clark, who had to withdraw from the three-point contest after sustaining a right groin injury on Tuesday, was seen supporting her replacement teammate Lexi Hull, who scored 20 points to finish fourth out of five participants. Ionescu secured her second three-point contest win with a 30-point final round, just shy of her 37-point record from 2023. Earlier in the evening, Natasha Cloud narrowly defeated Erica Wheeler in the skills challenge by 1.1 seconds. Liberty All-Star starter Brenna Stewart celebrated the team’s success on social media with enthusiastic emojis.
