Sunderland is interested in improving the defense force with the signature of Bafode Diakite.

According to the French publication L’Equipe, Sunderland has filed an offer of 27 million euros to the central defender. It would be interesting to see if he can sign a 24 year old in the coming weeks.

Reel values the players very highly and will not let him leave offers below 40 million euros.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, is also interested in players. They see him as a potential alternative to Dean Huyssen.

The opportunity to move into the Premier League can be extremely exciting for the 24-year-old defender. He is open to moving on to British football and we still don’t know where he’s finished.

Sunderland has secured promotion to the Premier League and they are trying to build a scary side. It’s clear they want to stay on top flights. They wouldn’t want to go back to the championship. To survive in the Premier League, you need high-quality players. The French defender could be an ideal acquisition.

He has a contract with Lille until 2028, but it’s no surprise that they are reaching out for a fee of around 40 million euros. He was an important player to them, showing his abilities in the French league and the Champions League.

Can Sunderland make a deal?

It will be interesting to see if Sunderland is ready to improve the offer and close the transaction. They need to be defensively tightened. They can make a big difference to them by playing against top-class attackers in the Premier League and signing quality central defenders.

Meanwhile, the player is in the peak year of his career, which is the right time for him to take the next step. Moving to the Premier League might be ideal for him.
