Indiana Fever Injury Report: Kate Linklark’s Condition and Game Readiness Against New York Liberty

With the 2025 WNBA All-Star Break now behind us, the Indiana Fever have shared an update on star player Kate Clark’s injury ahead of their Tuesday night game against the New York Liberty at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Clark, who sustained a right groin injury during Indiana’s win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15, missed the subsequent game against the Liberty and sat out the entire All-Star Weekend to focus on recovery.

Head coach Stephanie White mentioned that Clark is unlikely to play in Tuesday’s game. “I haven’t seen Clark since last night’s game, but she seems to be progressing. We’re addressing everything carefully,” White said. “We don’t expect her to be available on Tuesday, so we’ll take it day by day and hope to get a clearer picture later this week.”

With Clark probably sidelined, the Fever will depend heavily on Kelsey Mitchell and Aliya Boston to carry the offensive load, along with key contributions from their bench. The match against New York tips off at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN.

Fan Take: Kate Clark’s injury status is crucial for Fever fans and the league since she’s a rising star whose presence significantly impacts the team’s success and overall excitement in the WNBA. Her recovery and return will be a pivotal moment, reflecting the league’s resilience and ability to maintain competitive play despite player setbacks.
