Manny Pacquiao is making a comeback after four years away from boxing and retirement, aiming to earn money once again by taking on WBC Welterweight champion Mario Barrios in a headline fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Pacquiao last fought professionally in August 2021, losing to Jordenis Ugas, which led to his retirement. Now 46, Pacquiao, who has been inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame, is eager to compete one final time against top champions from his era. He expressed excitement about the fight, acknowledging Barrios as a skilled opponent and promising fans an entertaining and competitive match, adding that despite his time away from the ring, he remains active and in excellent shape.

Also featured is a highly anticipated rematch for the unified junior middleweight title where Sebastian Fundora will defend his championship against Tim Tszyu. Fundora previously won their first encounter by a split decision, aided by a questionable elbow that caused a significant cut on Tszyu’s head. Tszyu is now seeking redemption in their March 2024 rematch. Additionally, former titleholder Isaac Cruz will compete at junior welterweight after his scheduled opponent Angel Fierro withdrew due to weight issues; Omar Salcido will step in as the replacement. The evening’s action kicks off with a featherweight bout between former junior featherweight champions Brandon Figueroa and Joet Gonzalez. The event will be broadcast on Prime Pay-Per-View at 8 pm ET via PBC, with a full fight card and betting odds available for fans.
