The WNBA All-Stars made history during the recent game, as reported by Athlon Sports. Before Captain Caitlin Clark and Satu Sabury had to leave due to injuries, Team Clark was unable to keep up with Team Nafisa Collier in Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game. Kelsey Mitchell stood out on Team Clark, scoring 20 points, while seven other players also scored in double digits. Team Collier led by 27 points and ultimately won 151-131. Nafisa Collier dominated the game with 36 points and nine rebounds, earning the All-Star MVP award. Six other players on her team scored in double digits, including Allisha Gray, who contributed 18 points on five out of twelve shooting.

Team Collier’s performance was historic, with Collier breaking the record for most points scored in an All-Star Game, surpassing Arike Ogunbowale’s 34-point record from 2024. Another highlight was Skylar Diggins from Team Collier, who achieved the first-ever triple-double in WNBA All-Star Game history, with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists. ESPN praised Diggins’ performance on social media, calling it a show in Indianapolis. Diggins also set a record for the most assists in an All-Star Game with 15. Reflecting on the win, Diggins shared, “We had fun coming here, but I wanted to leave something here… I knew I had to find my niche elsewhere, so I started stacking up assists.”

Fan Take: This historic WNBA All-Star Game highlights the incredible talent and competitive spirit in the league, making it an exciting time for fans. Breaking records and seeing players like Collier and Diggins shine raises the profile of the sport and inspires the next generation of players.
