Denny Hamlin has showcased remarkable performance lately, securing two wins in his last six races and achieving five top-four finishes in his last seven outings. This level of consistency is impressive and has helped him climb back up in the power rankings.

The recent rankings stirred some debate, largely because many drivers experienced dramatic moments during the final lap and overtime. Here are ten drivers who seem to carry momentum as the Cup series heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend:

10. Your Cast (previously unranked) – Finished fifth at Dover, marking the third consecutive top-10 finish, including two top-five results. This Joe Gibbs Racing driver also competed in the season’s tournament championships alongside Ty Dillon.

9. Tyler Reddick (previously 6th) – Held a top-10 position for much of the Dover race but finished 12th after two overtime restarts, ending a three-race top-10 streak.

8. Ryan Blaney (previously 7th) – Started 31st due to qualifying cancellation but worked up to eighth place in a race where passing was tough.

7. Alex Bowman (previously 10th) – Delivered strong stage finishes (5th, 2nd, and 3rd), a solid showing for a winless driver fighting for playoff points, with three top-five finishes in his last six races.

6. Christopher Bell (previously 5th) – Suffered spins that hurt his race; despite battling Hamlin for the lead, Bell finished 18th.

5. William Byron (previously 3rd) – Involved in a crash following a late rain red flag, resulting in a 31st place finish; however, strong stage finishes (4th and 6th) showed promise.

4. Kyle Larson (unchanged at 4th) – Placed in the top 10 during both stages and finished fourth after dueling Hamlin in overtime, marking his first top-five finish since Michigan and potentially ending a recent performance slump.

3. Chase Briscoe (moved up from 8th) – Competed fiercely with Hamlin in overtime and settled for second, showing good sportsmanship by giving his teammate enough space to win.

2. Chase Elliott (dropped from 1st) – Dominated most of the race, leading 238 out of 407 laps, but a strategic pit stop to change tires amid rain cost him a better finish.

1. Denny Hamlin (up from 2nd) – Skillfully defended his lead in the final 67 laps to secure his fourth win of the season, outperforming the competition at Dover for the second consecutive year.
