Kylen Williams has not made any contract offers or held out during the Los Angeles Rams’ training camp negotiations. The Pro Bowl running back is expected to attend camp at Loyola Marymount University starting Tuesday and participate in practice despite ongoing contract talks. Williams expressed his commitment to playing football and said he plans to wear his uniform even if negotiations stretch into the regular season.

The Rams are scheduled to meet with Williams’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, as they aim to finalize a long-term deal. Williams, a Notre Dame alumnus and lifelong Rams fan, has been a key player for the team, rushing for 2,582 yards and 26 touchdowns, along with 464 receiving yards and five additional touchdowns over three seasons under coach Sean McVay’s offense.

Williams acknowledged progress in contract talks since offseason team activities but emphasized his focus remains on playing and contributing. He has excelled as a starter the past two years, making the 2023 Pro Bowl and finishing third in league rushing yards with 1,144 despite missing games. His previous season marked career highs with 1,299 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.

Despite drafting other running backs recently, the Rams remain committed to retaining Williams. Coach McVay highlighted their ongoing negotiations and emphasized Williams’ dedication and mindset as a valued teammate. Williams has also taken personal steps to improve his performance and durability, including hiring a chef and working on grip strength.

Williams is driven by belief in his teammates’ potential and the team’s chance to contend for a Super Bowl after strong recent performances. He praised the Rams’ talent across all units and the shared team mentality. The Rams are currently considered strong contenders for the Super Bowl.
