The UFC 320 event will feature two championship bouts: Magomed Ankalaev versus Alex Pereira in their highly anticipated rematch, and Merab Dvalishvili facing Cory Sandhagen. The promotion confirmed the main event for the October 4th pay-per-view, taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UFC President Dana White announced multiple fights for the card, highlighting Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2 as the headliner, with Dvalishvili vs. Sandhagen as the co-main event. Additionally, White revealed a potential title eliminator for light heavyweight contenders Jiri Prochazka and Halil Rountree Jr.

Ankalaev, the current light heavyweight champion, will defend his title for the first time after besting Pereira in March, a victory which extended his winning streak to 14 and ended Pereira’s reign. The bantamweight clash between Dvalishvili and Sandhagen is eagerly awaited by fans. Dvalishvili, who recently secured his second successful title defense by submitting Sean O’Malley, has solidified his spot as UFC Bantamweight Champion, while Sandhagen earned his title shot by defeating former flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo via TKO.

In addition to UFC 320, Dana White announced that Tom Aspinall, who was declared the undisputed heavyweight champion following Jon Jones’ retirement, will defend his belt against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 in November.

Fan Take: This lineup for UFC 320 underscores the thrilling evolution of title scenes across multiple divisions, keeping fight fans on the edge of their seats. These matchups not only promise high stakes but could reshape the rankings and future championship landscapes in MMA.
