  • Harvey Elliott speaks honestly about his future in Liverpool
  • Liverpool may need to sell players after a lot of spending

Liverpool is attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott, suggesting that he may need to discuss his future with the club this summer.

England Under 21 International joined the Reds from Fulham a few years ago and arrived with a reputation as one of the nation’s best young players.

However, with the exception of a few moments, he doesn’t think he’s guaranteed a normal place in the Arne Slot starting lineup.

Clubs such as Aston Villa, Brighton, Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund have expressed interest in signing Elliot this summer. Catch off side It was reported previously.

Nothing has happened in this deal yet, but Elliot is now thinking of dropping a big hint that he might need to be “selfish” and leaving for more play time.

Elliott spoke to Anfield Lap and acknowledged the uncertainty about the future of the LFC.

“Look, if I had it my way, I’d be here for the rest of my career, that’s just as easy, I love everything about the club,” Elliott said.

“But at the same time, I need to be selfish and selfish and see what is best for me.

“I have great ambitions. I want to go to the World Cup and I want to continue to be successful as a player.

“I think it’s something that still needs to be reviewed. I need to talk to everyone. There’s so many new players coming in, so we need to review the situation.

“My main focus is here now. At the moment, I’m here for the season. As far as I know, as long as I don’t have a busy preseason that’s going to change, it’s non-stop.

Liverpool may need to sell players after a lot of spending

After much spending that saw Alexander Isaac and Mark Guech continue to be linked while Florian Wiltz, Hugo Ekitique, Jeremy Fripon and Milos Kerquez are on board, it’s easy for Liverpool to have to sell some squad players.

As the Merseyside giants need to balance their books, fans looking for ways to get tickets for Community Shield may need to prepare to see the behaviour of very different players at Wembley.

Elliott is clearly questionable, and others like Lewis Diaz and Ibrahima Conate are also facing an uncertain future.

Diaz is linked to Bayern Munich, but Conate is the final year of his contract and has attracted interest from people like Real Madrid.
