Despite interest in Calm Wilson, West Ham United reportedly began their first approach to signing Serie A forward last season, which surpassed the former Newcastle United man.

West Ham discusses to sign Wilson

After losing Missil Antonio and Danny Ins earlier this summer, West Ham had to head to the transfer market to attack additional ones ahead of next season. And while they are patient with their approach, it appears they are finally trying to solve Graham Potter’s biggest problem.

He reportedly gave a speech to sign Wilson, and Hammer wants to welcome the veteran free agent. But that doesn’t mean that Wilson doesn’t question Mark if he arrives. Clinically, that has been the biggest problem for a 33-year-old over the years to score goals that players need to be on the pitch.

Over the past two seasons alone, Wilson has surprised 57 games through illness and injuries. And at age 33, it seems unlikely that these problems will suddenly disappear when they travel to London Stadium.

The former Newcastle guy is a proven Premier League scorer, but he is also a prone to injury, and it must be mentioned that West Ham can’t afford to get things wrong in search of a striker for his second season of running.

Following Mohammed Kudus’ move to Tottenham, West Ham is targeting a “unpredictable” £30 million sense of “unpredictable” as it requires attack reinforcement.

Instead, people at London Stadium should aim at candidates at the height of their careers, and those who carve boxes for both goals and reliability.

West Ham’s launch approach to sign Piccoli

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, West Ham has now begun an approach to signing Roberto Piccoli, as broadcast by Sport Witness, and is obsessed with about sealing his signature this summer.

The Cagliari striker is reportedly valued at around 30 million euros (£25 million), and will have West Ham spend cash on its acceptance of Italy. But he is likely worth every penny for that fee.

By comparison, what can be emphasized again is Wilson’s lack of availability. By managing just 370 minutes last season (about four games), the forward scored just one goal. Meanwhile, Piccoly found the backstage of the net 10 times in Serie A after playing 3,127 minutes.

West Ham’s only concern is that the 24-year-old was below the expected total.

On paper, even at £26 million, Piccoly stands out as an option West Ham should prioritize in place of Wilson this summer.
