Aston Villa was able to consider selling two players this summer to balance the book.
They have been struggling with PSR issues recently, and financial expert Dan Plumley suggests that they could aim to remove some of the first team players this summer to improve their team.
Emiliano Martinez has linked his moves from the club, and Ollie Watkins is also believed to be on the radar of top clubs. Plus, Jacob Ramsey has linked to potential moves to leave the club in search of normal playtime.
Aston Villa aims to regularly push Europe and build a team that can compete for the trophies. It will be interesting to see if you are ready to sell some of the key players to improve the overall.
Aston Villa needs to balance the book
Plumley revealed in Aston Villa News:
“As we say, it endures rationality as it predicts that they have to put out a few players to take the player if they want.
Emery needs to keep his best player
Martinez and Watkins have been exceptional for Aston Villa for many years, and losing them will seriously undermine the team. It remains to be seen whether Unai Emery is ready to sanction both players from resigning this summer.
Ramsey can use travel from the West Midlands Club. He needs to play more often, and his exit is also registered as a pure profit of the book. It is still unknown how the situation will develop.
