Newcastle has stepped up its efforts to sign a new starting striker, now that Alexander Isaac has shown his intention to leave amid interest from Liverpool.

So far, this has been a disastrous summer transfer window for Newcastle, missing out on many targets from other Premier League clubs. And now, in the hopes of ISAK departing, they will need to bounce quickly to add reinforcements to Eddie Howe’s team before the start of the new season.

Yoane Wissa has been strongly associated with Newcastle recently, but Newcastle wants him and another striker. And after ISAK News they turned their attention to Man United’s target Benjamin Sesco.

Sesko, reportedly having a gentleman’s agreement with RB Leipzig, allows it to depart for £65-70 million, but is a Newcastle’s favorite target to replace ISAK, and according to TeamTalk, Slovenia International is interested in moving to St. James’ Park.

Sesko wants to continue his Premier League career and after missing out on a move to Arsenal early in the summer, his options are now Newcastle and Man United. At this stage, the former is a favorite to secure his signature.

However, it is not easy for Newcastle to sign ISAK. The report also claims that you cannot currently trade at the asking price set by Leipzig. This is due to a well-documented PSR issue.

Newcastle only signed one senior at Anthony Elanga this summer, but sales from Lloyd Kelly and Sean Longstaff helped them with the situation. However, if you currently can’t afford to sign Sesko, you may need to accelerate your ISAK departure.
