Armoy Road Races 2025: Paul Jordan and Mike Brown Take Victory in Friday’s Thrilling Showdown

The opening two races of the 2025 Armor Road Race took place on Friday night, with victories by Paul Jordan and Mike Brown. Jordan claimed the win in the seven-lap Super Twin race held at Aprilia, while Brown emerged victorious in the Super Sports Race riding for Russell Racing Yamaha BPE.

In the Super Twin Race at Armoy, Michael Sweeney initially took the lead, but Jordan overtook him on the third lap near Armoy Village and set a new class lap record of 100.694 mph on the fourth lap. This record surpassed Jamie Coward’s previous mark from the year before. Jordan’s win marked his second career victory at Armoy, having previously won a Super Sports race in 2018. Sweeney came in second, and Joe Ii Ii Iigier secured third place after passing Barry Farber.

Mike Brown continued his dominance in the Super Sports division, replicating his previous year’s success. He posted the fastest lap of the race at 104.074 mph on his fourth circuit, earning his fifth career victory at Armoy. He finished 6.4 seconds ahead of Michael Sweeney, with Paul Jordan completing the podium and Connor Cummins taking fourth place.

Qualifying for the Open and Race of Legends events highlighted the competitive spirit at Armoy Road Races. Paul Jordan secured pole position in both categories with an impressive lap speed of 106.324 mph on Jackson Honda. Mike Brown was the second fastest Honda rider, followed by Connor Cummins on BMW in third.
