Cameron Brink is on the verge of making her return. After undergoing surgery for a torn left ACL in July 2024, the Los Angeles Sparks’ second-year forward is preparing to get back on the court. Sparks coach Lynn Roberts told The Associated Press that while Brink won’t play this Saturday, she’s expected to be back very soon.

Brink is eager to make her comeback. “I’ve put in a lot of hard work,” she shared with The Associated Press. “People usually see me living my life normally, but they don’t see the countless hours I’ve spent in the gym with my trainers and the excellent training staff.”

Brink was the second overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, selected just after Kate Linklark. Before her injury, she appeared in 15 games, averaging 21.9 minutes per game with 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals.

Her talent in the frontcourt is undeniable, and she brings versatility and impact whenever she’s on the floor. The return of Cameron Brink is a huge boost for both the Sparks and the WNBA.

Fan Take: Cameron Brink’s comeback is a major moment for WNBA fans, signaling the resilience and dedication of athletes in the league. Her return promises to elevate the level of competition and inspire young players watching the sport grow.
