Page Bookers missed the Las Vegas ace in Sunday’s game, but the anticipated WNBA Rookie of the Year is ready to face the reigning champions on Monday night. Her Dallas Wings are considered underdogs against Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty, but all Primetime Bookers broadcasts will highlight and preview this exciting future.

How to Watch New York Liberty vs. Dallas Wings

  • Venue: College Park Center, Arlington, Texas
  • Time: 8 PM, Monday
  • TV: ESPN
  • Streaming: fubo (with $20 off available)
  • Tickets: Available on StubHub

With a 7-19 record, the current Dallas Wings team marks just the beginning of Bueckers’ professional journey. The Wings have lost six of their last seven games, including a heavy 30-point defeat to the Phoenix Mercury on July 7 and a 26-point loss to Las Vegas on Sunday. Despite the challenges, hope lies in Bueckers’ rapid adaptation to the pro level. Over her last 16 games, she has averaged just under 20 points per game with shooting splits of 47.2% field goals, 32.8% from three, and 85.9% free throws. She also contributes 5.4 assists while limiting turnovers to 2.4 and adds 1.8 steals, leveraging her speed and range reminiscent of her college days.

Other Dallas key players include veteran scorer Arike Ogunbowale, averaging 16 points per game, and defensive standout Dijonai Carrington with 11 points per game. However, both guards are shooting under 40%, and the Wings rank near the bottom in field goal percentage and three-point shooting among teams.

Meanwhile, the Liberty arrive in Texas with a strong 17-7 record and the second-best net rating in the league, trailing only the Minnesota Lynx. New York plays at the fastest pace in the WNBA, making over 80 possessions in a 40-minute game. After a slow June, the Liberty won five consecutive games before losing on a buzzer-beater to the Los Angeles Sparks last weekend.

The Liberty remain a dominant two-way team, comfortably leading the Eastern Conference where only two other teams have winning records. Joined by European star and 2019 Finals MVP Emma Meesman, the 2024 title contenders look as formidable as ever.

Notably, Liberty forward Breanna Stewart injured her leg in the recent loss but is expected to avoid serious harm. Stewart will rest on ice as the team, led by Ionescu, Jonquel Jones, Natasha Cloud, and reliable shooters, continue their August run.
