In Uncasville, Connecticut, the Seattle Storm defeated the Connecticut Sun 101-85 on Monday night, highlighted by Skylar Diggins achieving a triple-double and Nneka Ogwumike contributing 26 points. Diggins, fresh off making history with the first triple-double in a WNBA All-Star Game nine days earlier, recorded 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in this matchup. Seattle held a 57-46 lead at halftime, then surged in the third quarter with Ogwumike adding nine points and Diggins scoring 13 in the opening three minutes, helping the team score 30 points that quarter and take an 87-58 lead going into the fourth. Ogwumike shot 11-for-13 overall but did not attempt a shot in the final quarter. Seattle’s 86.7% shooting in the third quarter set a franchise record for any quarter. The team slowed down in the fourth, scoring 14 points and surpassed 100 points when Zia Cook made a jumper with nine seconds left. Other Seattle scorers included Williams with 16 points, Dominique Malonga with 12, and Ejimagbe Goal with 10. For the Sun, Bria Hartley led with 17 points, Tina Charles added 11, Jacy Sheldon had 11 off the bench, and Olivia Nelson-Ododa scored 10 points.

In another game, the Dallas Wings defeated the New York Liberty 92-82 in Arlington, Texas. Arike Ogunbowale posted 20 points and 14 assists, while Paige Bueckers also scored 20 points. Despite Dallas making only one field goal in the fourth quarter, they maintained control, leading 85-62 after three quarters. New York rallied to outscore Dallas 20-3 in the early part of the fourth, closing the gap to 88-82 on a three-pointer by John Quell Jones. Bueckers hit two free throws with just over a minute left to secure the win, with Dihony Carrington adding two more in the final seconds.
