Ogwumike shot 11-for-13 overall but did not attempt a shot in the final quarter. Seattle’s 86.7% shooting in the third quarter set a franchise record for any quarter. In another game, the Dallas Wings defeated the New York Liberty 92-82 in Arlington, Texas. Arike Ogunbowale posted 20 points and 14 assists, while Paige Bueckers also scored 20 points. Despite Dallas making only one field goal in the fourth quarter, they maintained control, leading 85-62 after three quarters. New York rallied to outscore Dallas 20-3 in the early part of the fourth, closing the gap to 88-82 on a three-pointer by John Quell Jones. Bueckers hit two free throws with just over a minute left to secure the win, with Dihony Carrington adding two more in the final seconds.
