Chelsea bids for 192k-awek star Bayern called “several times”

Chelsea has shown no signs of slowing down in the transfer market this summer, despite millions already spending on fresh faces.

Enzo Maresca recently joined the club as the West Londoners were successfully working on the Club World Cup campaign, with more support for the Italians, with £145 million Trio Liam Dellup, Jamie Gitens and Joa Pedro, the Italians expected to be further supported.

Financially, instead of being good, the Blues raises around £100 million through player sales. This is expected to rise to around £126 million due to Joan Felix’s transition to Alnasl.

Saudi Arabia agreed to a large add-on in addition to Felix’s first £26 million deal, and Chelsea could even bank nearly £43 million in the future thanks to the sell-on clause.

Chelsea is also contributing to the comfortable separation of Maresca’s side from their £87.5 million financial pimples from winning the CWC, not to mention Champions League revenue.

Chelsea remain keen to balance their teams by selling more players due to pressure from UEFA, but there is a range that will seal more team upgrades in time for Blueco to the 2025/2026 season.

Ajax starlet Jorrel Hato has already agreed to personal terms with Chelsea for a move to Stamford Bridge, and discussions are in the advanced stages of signing the Dutch who can enter as a cover for Marc Cucurella and as another centre-back option.

The 22-year-old has been on fire in Leipzig ever since signing the Bundesliga side on his first loan in 2023/2024. His move became permanent in January, with Simons collecting 21 goals and 23 assists in all competitions over the past two seasons.

Leipzig has even made Simons the highest-paid player in history with contracts worth around £192,000 a week, but the attackers are already ready to seek new pastures.

Chelsea submits Zabi Simons opening offer

According to some sources, Chelsea are talking about Simons, but are moving forward in a quick way (Simon Phillips), but they have not yet made the opening offer.

Journalist Ben Jacobs shares another update for X with Talksport, making it arguing that Chelsea is ready to submit Simons’ first bid after an active club-to-club talk.

Interestingly, Jacobs reports that Bayern Munich called Simons “a few times” in order to convince the playmaker to join Vincent Company’s side, but he highly prefers to prefer to move into the Premier League on personal terms.

Leipzig is ready to sell Greenlight Simons for around £61 million, but within Chelsea there is a belief that they can trade less.
