In November, Reuben Amorim was appointed boss of Manchester United after leading the Sports CP to multiple Legal Portuguese titles during his spell in charge.

Given his success in the role, it’s understandable that he wants to have the talent he managed to manage with him in the Premier League.

Viktor Gyoker was considered a major target after registering 54 goals in all competitions in the last campaign, but the Red Devils missed his signature after the Swedes joined Arsenal this summer.

He is not the only player in such an outfit. Linked to travel to Old Trafford. Winger Geobunny Quenda completed his move to English Side Chelsea after being on the radar.

It would have been a major disappointment to miss both players, but bosses could be encouraged in other work being done in the market ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The latest on United Hunt for new additions from United this summer

Benjamin Sesco was the player who appeared as United’s key target this summer as Amorim tries to inject additional quality into his forward line during the offseason.

A meeting has already been held with representatives of RB Leipzig striker over the contract for the 22-year-old, currently on the radar of Newcastle United, currently in the Premier League.

However, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, he is not the only player currently in their vision, but a player whose sports CP star Morten Hjulmand has a big interest in Amorim.

The Red Devils have been paying attention to his progress and claim they have already submitted a bid of 40 million euros (£35 million) to sign the 26-year-old Danish midfielder.

The players themselves also say they are very keen to reunite with their former managers, but they will have to wait for an agreement to be struck between the two clubs.

Why United’s £35 million target is best for Sesco

As mentioned earlier, United have been closely monitoring Sesco’s moves this summer, with Slovenia International being seen as a key target for the centre-forward position.

The 22-year-old scored 21 times in all competitions last season, and after scoring just 1.15 goals per game last season, he provided the necessary focus to the side that they had shortfalls.

Such a signature could prove expensive as current employers are asking for a fee of up to £80 million to say goodbye to the current amulet during the offseason.

It is unclear whether Sesco himself is keen on the move to Old Trafford this summer, but the hierarchy pursuing the move for his signature highlights his ambition to bring the sides to level in 2025/26.

However, if he moved to the Theatre of Dreams this summer, he could be supported by his attempts at Hujrmund. Sportster has real quality that can offer many opportunities in the last third.

When we dig into the fundamental statistics from our recent campaign, Dane was able to showcase his excellent abilities with or without balls, and then provide important options in the middle of the park.

Labeled “Incredible” by one analyst, Hjulmand completed 90% of the passes he attempted.

His talent with the ball is further reflected in his tally of 1.1 key passes per 90, but he completes 62% of the take-ons he attempted and can clearly thrive under pressure.

However, despite his ability on the ball, the 26-year-old showed his talent to get the ball back, get 1.5 tackles per 90, and then do dirty work before shocking the forward area.

The £35 million for players entering the best years of his career could prove to be a great pickup for the Red Devils, especially considering he knows exactly what he expects from his side.

If he could replicate such a performance level in Manchester, he would be a phenomenal pickup and would allow Sesco to thrive in his own debut campaign if he made the transition to the UK.
