While it appears that more and more exits are on the card, Chelsea can now officially add another player to their growing departure list.

Ishe Samuels Smith leaves Chelsea

The Blues have agreed to a deal worth around £6.5 million to sell defender Samuels Smith to sister club Strasbourg, and the transfer was announced by Chelsea this afternoon.

The 19-year-old agreed to a five-year contract on the League One side before Chelsea travelled to Austria for his medical (soccer insider) to sign yet another summer window deal with his sister club.

BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella also shared the news as a major boost for Maresca’s part. Chelsea’s funds totaled around £158 million after his departure.

Samuels Smith left Chelsea two years after signing from Everton, and at the time he didn’t appear in one senior, he contributes to the club’s healthy financial position, at least off the grass.
