156 players will compete to position themselves in the FedEx Cup standings on the Wyndham Championship field at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The top 70 in the rankings will win a spot at the St. Jude Championship field in Memphis next week for the start of the playoffs. Others look to top 50 status to take part in the BMW Championship for their second playoff event, and perhaps even more importantly, they’re locked up in all eight signature events in 2026.
This week, everyone from the rankings of the 60th to 96th will be on the field. These include Tony Finau (60), Ricky Fowler (61), Nikolai Hodzigard (71), Gary Woodland (75), Adam Scott (85), and Tom Kim (89). Additionally, Matt Fitzpatrick (43), Axe Batia (44), Jake Knapp (47), Jordanspeace (50) and Aaron Rye (58) are jockeys in search of the points to lock invitations to next year’s biggest event.
Beyond these two battles, players are fighting for PGA Tour status. This year, only the top 100 after the fall event will remain full-time 2026 cards. They will have a fall season to make up for the playoff ground, but this represents a big point week for things like Joel Damen (101), Max Houma (106), and Harry Higgs (115).
Here’s how to watch the fight for playoff positioning and points throughout the weekend at the 2025 Wyndham Championship:
