Liverpool Gears Up to Defend Premier League Title with Fresh Home and Away Kits!

Premier League champions Liverpool FC have announced a new 10-year partnership with Adidas, unveiling their latest kit at Anfield on Friday.

This marks the third collaboration between the Reds and the German sportswear company, having previously teamed up from 1985 to 1996—during which time they claimed three First Division titles—and again from 2006 to 2012, securing both the FA Cup and League Cup.

The inaugural home kit of this fresh partnership is a classic design. The previous season’s geometric pinstriping and yellow accents have been replaced with a striking red jersey adorned only with simple white trim.

The white shield-shaped outline on the torso is reminiscent of the kits worn during the 2014-2015 season, though it likely draws more inspiration from Adidas’s popular shirts from 2006-2008.

Meanwhile, the design for the 2025-26 away kit was approached with a straightforward style.

Occasional nods to Anfield’s distinctive brow-shaped roof arch, first seen in the early 1900s, can be detected in the reimagined liver bird’s emblem.

The iconic “97” Hillsborough flame crest remains on Liverpool’s main kit, and a new tribute to the late Diogo Jota is available, allowing fans to add a small decal of his jersey number, 20. All proceeds from these decals will benefit the LFC Foundation, which aims to establish a grassroots soccer initiative in Jota’s honor.

Both the home and away kits will be worn for the first time by the Liverpool men’s team in early August; the home kit will debut during a friendly match against Anfield’s athletic club, while the away kit will make its first appearance in the Community Shield against Crystal Palace at Wembley the following week.

Fan Take: This new kit partnership is significant for Liverpool fans as it not only revives a historical relationship with Adidas but also fosters a deeper connection to the club through personalized tributes. As fans deck themselves in the latest gear, it reflects the club’s storied past, while also paving the way for future community-driven initiatives.
