Aston Villa has agreed to a deal this summer to send Jasin Ozkan to Belgian Club Anderlecht with loans.

The players arrived at the West Midlands Club in July and agreed to a long-term contract with them until 2030. The 19-year-old joined Aston Villa in February on a pre-contract agreement.

Aston Villa allows him to join Anderlecht on loan, and if he triggers the option to sign forever at the end of the season, the defender will leave the West Midlands club without competing in a competitive manner.

Belgian outfits have the option to make travel permanent in the summer of 2026. It will be interesting to see how he will perform next season in Belgium, at 19.

Why did Aston Villa sign Ozkan?

According to a report from The New York Times, the defender was scouted by the Aston Villa Recruitment team as an option to increase PSR compliance. They are looking to bring in young and cheap players just to sell quickly for commercial purposes.

If they end up selling their 19-year-old children to a Belgian club, it will boost their accounts and help them to stay in line with financial regulations.

Ozkan is about to play regularly next season, but it remains to be seen whether he will be able to establish himself as a key player for Anderlecht. They are one of the biggest clubs in Belgium and can offer him the opportunity to fight for the trophy.

The 19-year-old needs to focus on his development and he needs to play every week. Sitting on the bench at Aston Villa would not have benefited him. The loan move might be ideal for him.
