Here’s a rewritten version of the content:

The MLB Speedway Classic event features attractions such as a 110-foot Ferris wheel, a race car decorated in MLB team colors, food trucks, live music, pitching tunnels, batting cages, photo opportunities with the commissioner’s trophy, and even a Clydesdale horse. Fans can also purchase merchandise supporting the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, or other MLB teams.

Almost four years in the making, the MLB Speedway Classic is set to take place Saturday night at 7:15 pm, broadcasted on Fox and the Fox Sports app. Jeremiah Jorkut, MLB’s senior vice president of global events, highlighted the unique feeling of being in iconic sports venues like Bristol Motor Speedway, Wrigley Field, and Fenway Park.

The idea behind the MLB Speedway Classic, announced nearly a year ago by Commissioner Rob Manfred, aims to bring Major League Baseball to locations where live games aren’t usually held. Previous MLB games have been played in places like Iowa, Alabama, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Bristol is a special host as it’s known for its NASCAR races, blending the histories of both sports.

This event provides an exciting opportunity for local fans in Tennessee to experience a regular MLB game, a rarity for this region. The Reds and Braves have split their series, with the deciding game marking Tennessee’s debut hosting an MLB regular season game in front of the largest crowd to witness such a game.

Reds outfielder Austin Hayes expressed enthusiasm for the event, relating his own experiences attending other major track races, suggesting this game will be a fun and unique experience for players and fans alike.

While not all tickets for the Speedway were sold to fully fill the space, over 85,000 tickets were purchased—a record-breaking attendance for an MLB regular season game in Tennessee, surpassing the previous record from 1954 at Cleveland Stadium.

MLB Network All-Star Sean Casey praised the collaboration between MLB and NASCAR, pointing out how both sports already interconnect in markets like Atlanta and Cincinnati, enhancing fan engagement across different sports.

Fans attending the event will enjoy a pre-game concert featuring Jake Owen, Tim McGraw, and Pitbull. Ceremony highlights include Hall of Famers Chipper Jones and Johnny Bench participating in the first pitch tradition.

One dedicated fan, Hunter Greer from South Carolina, shared how the event exceeded expectations, turning into a much bigger celebration than anticipated.
