MONTREAL — Naomi Osaka made it to the National Bank’s Open Quarter Finals on Sunday, earning the second-fastest victory in her career, routed Anastasya Sebastova 6-1, 6-0 in windy conditions in 49 minutes.

Osaka, the former number one in the world, won the Japanese star in Brazil in 2016 in a 42nd minute victory over Anna Sofia Sanchez 6-1, 6-1.

Osaka has arrived at the last eight of the WTA 1000 or Grand Slam events for the first time in 19 months. On Tuesday, she will face the winner of the night match between the fifth seed Manda Anishimova of the United States and the 10th seed Erinas Vitrina from Ukraine.

The Madison Keys, the sixth seed in the US, also went on, breaking past the 11th seed Karolina Manbouba, Czech 4-6, 6-3, and 7-5, in a windy afternoon session. The Australian Open Champion will face the winners of the night match between Poland’s second-seeded Wimbledon champion Iga Switek and Denmark’s 16th seed Clara Towson.
