According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Bruno Fernandez is expected to continue as a Manchester United player for at least one season despite attracting interest from Saudi clubs.
The Portuguese midfielder has made it clear that he is completely focused on staying in Europe and will not leave Old Trafford this summer.
The past few weeks have seen new attempts from the Saudi giants to seduce Fernandez from Manchester.
Al-Nassr was the latest to take an informal approach to the United Captain, following previous efforts by Al-Hilal before the Club World Cup.
Saudi Arabia clubs want a Man United captain
For both clubs, Fernandez saw him as a marquee capable of further raising his league profile. Al Nasr was particularly keen to partner with Cristiano Ronaldo at the famous reunion.
However, sources close to the players have confirmed that Fernandez is fully committed to Man United and that he has no plans to leave during this transfer window.
His desire to compete at the highest level in Europe remains unchanged, and he is determined to help the club lead through a critical period of transition under Reuben Amorim.
Fernandez’s current contract runs until June 2026, with additional annual options, with United viewing him as an essential figure for rebuilding the team.
Bruno Fernandez has no desire to leave the club
As the team’s captain and creative heartbeat, Fernandez has been a consistent performer since his arrival from Sports CP in January 2020, earning goals, assists and countless important contributions.
While Saudi Arabia’s interest may persist, the message from Fernandez’s camp is clear, but his future is in Manchester, at least for now.
