Max Fried is poised to become the first MLB pitcher to reach 13 wins this season as the New York Yankees face the Texas Rangers on Monday in the opening game of a three-match series at Globe Life Field. Fried, with a 12-4 record and a 2.62 ERA, has recently allowed three or more runs in each of his last five starts, a shift from his previous 17 outings where he kept runs under three. At 31, Fried is aiming to help the Yankees secure their first win on a six-game road trip after a weekend sweep by the Miami Marlins that dropped New York to second place in the AL East behind the Boston Red Sox. The Yankees trail the division-leading Toronto Blue Jays, who hold a 4.5-game advantage but currently occupy one of the AL’s wildcard spots.

The Texas Rangers, holding a 58-55 record, conclude a difficult 2-5 road trip that included losing three of four games in Seattle, the Mariners being 4.5 games behind in the AL West and fighting for a wildcard position alongside the first-place Houston Astros. The Rangers will start Patrick Corbin (6-7, 3.78 ERA), a 36-year-old left-hander unbeaten in his last six games and recording at least six strikeouts in five of those appearances. Betting props are set at 5.5 strikeouts for both Fried and Corbin, with sports models favoring Corbin to strike out under 5.5 batters.

Monday’s slate features several standout strikeout prop bets, including Tanner Gordon with over 2.5 strikeouts (+120) against the Blue Jays, where he averages 3 strikeouts per game and has surpassed this mark in three of five outings this season. Jason Alexander is projected for over 3.5 strikeouts (-101) against the Marlins, building on a recent performance with six strikeouts over just 4 1/3 innings. Lastly, Brandon Pfaadt is expected to record over 4.5 strikeouts (+125) against the Padres, boasting a strong strikeout rate at home with 55 Ks in 58 2/3 innings.
