Marcus Rashford’s move on loan from Man United to Barcelona during the season has generated much debate this summer, but the 27-year-old will be produced to have a successful spell with the Line Laiga Champions. And the beginning of his life was a good thing.
Rashford first appeared in Barcelona last weekend in a 3-1 victory over the J-League side Vissel Kobe, following with his second cameo against K-League costume FC Seoul, where the Catalans beat 7-3.
Rashford registered an assist with these two appearances, but was unable to find the back of the net. But he is now smashing the ducks with the colours of Barcelona and scoring the goal in a 5-0 victory over Doug FC.

Rashford, who is expected to operate primarily as a left winger during his time at Barcelona, received the ball in the box and then attacked his first strike. He received the admiration of his teammates. He was pleased to see him find the backstage of the net for the first time since joining from Man United.
Rashford will return to Barcelona with his remaining teammates to face Serie A Side Como in their final preseason fixture before the start of the 2025-26 LA La Liga campaign two weeks later with Mallorca.
There will be plenty of Man United fans who will be focusing on Rashford during the 2025-26 season, but the colour of the club may never see him again. It’s a loan agreement, but Barcelona has the option to permanently sign England International at a rate in the £25 million region.
Rashford may not miss much at Man United after the signings of Matthews Cunha and Brian Mbeumo, but it will be interesting to see how they will perform in Barcelona in the next 9-10 months.
