Leeds hopes to continue adding signatures to Daniel Fark’s team ahead of the new Premier League season, kicking off within two weeks. And one area to address in the coming weeks is the central center.
Lucas Nmeka, Jaka Bijold, Sebasciaan Bornou, Gabriel Gudmundson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach and Lucas Peri have already moved to Elland Road this summer and are planning to sign more before the transfer window closes at the beginning of September. And despite bringing Stouch from Hoffenheim and Longstaff from Newcastle, he hopes another midfielder will be added to the first team.
And that player could become a familiar face to Leeds supporters.
Leeds is interested in bringing Gabriel Sarah back to England
According to Givemesport, Leeds is interested in signing former Norwich star Gabriel Sarah, who is currently at Turkish giant Galatasarei. The 26-year-old, valued at £35 million, is said to be the target of Aston Villa on the Premier League side.
Sarah faced Leeds several times during Norwich, where he left to join Galatasaray two years ago. But now it may be time for him to return to British football.
£35 million is a lot of money Leeds spends on one player. Especially considering Stach and Longstaff are already brought in to improve Farke’s midfield options. However, there is no doubt that Sarah will be the top-level signature.
It is still unclear whether Leeds will act on his interest in Sarah, but given the indication of interest from other clubs, it may be necessary to move quickly to secure his signature and avoid missing out on dealing with Galatasaray.
