Bulls Unveil Statement Edition: Michael Jordan-Era Pinstripe Uniforms Make a Bold Comeback

The Chicago Bulls have chosen a perfect time to bring back the iconic Michael Jordan-era uniforms. On Tuesday, the team unveiled their new statement jerseys for the 2025-26 season, showcasing a black and red pinstripe design that calls back to their powerful run in the 1990s. This design hasn’t been worn since the 2012-13 season.

Originally launched in the 1995-96 season and worn again in 1996-97, 2007-08, and 2012-13, this classic look evokes strong memories for fans. To mark this revival, the Bulls enlisted Dennis Rodman, who won two championships wearing these jerseys alongside Jordan.

“These are great,” Rodman said in a Bulls video. “I remember when we first introduced this. It was legendary, man, these jerseys here are legendary. It’s not even a throwback. It’s kind of brand new for a new generation. This is going to be really cool for Chicago… this brings memories."

Interestingly, the Bulls are not the only Chicago team incorporating black and red pinstripes this year. The Chicago White Sox also launched their City Connect uniforms in May as an homage to the Bulls’ iconic style.

Despite donning these legendary uniforms, the Bulls are not expected to perform at championship level next season. Currently, they rank 22nd in title odds at BetMGM (+50000) after finishing 39-43 last season.

Fan Take: Bringing back the classic Jordan-era uniforms connects the current team with one of basketball’s most celebrated dynasties, sparking excitement and nostalgia among fans. While the team may not be immediate title contenders, this move keeps the Bulls’ legacy alive and could energize both the players and supporters for the future.
