The Vancouver Whitecaps have inked a deal with former Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller. The World Cup champion, who helped Germany secure the title in 2014, will play for the Whitecaps for the rest of the season.

Details of the transfer remain undisclosed, but the contract includes an option for 2026. In an online video released on Wednesday, Muller expressed excitement, stating, "Whitecaps – Let’s make history."

At 35, Muller spent an impressive 17 years with Bayern Munich in Germany’s Bundesliga, where he contributed to the team’s 13 championships and netted 250 goals across all competitions; however, his contract was not renewed after last season. Notably, he scored five goals during the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil.
