Tottenham Hotspur was reportedly offered the opportunity to sign AC Milan’s Portuguese international attacker Rafael Leo.
It will be interesting to see if they will have the opportunity to move for the 26 year old in the coming weeks. According to a TBR Football report, players are not keen to leave the Italian club and want to continue in Milan. Plus, Max Allegri doesn’t want to lose Leao either.
It seems very unlikely that Tottenham will be able to make a deal. Manchester United also links with Leao.
leao is not enthusiastic about the exit of Milan
Bailey told TBR Football: “My understanding is that the intermediary behind his son’s transfer and Madison’s injury theoretically placed Leao on the Spurs.
“But I spoke to Milan and nothing has happened. They have a new manager, and it is said that he is solidifying Leao’s attitude to stay, even though Massimiliano Alegri has just passed through the door.”
Rafael Leao improves spurs
It is no secret that Tottenham will need more depth with his attacking units, especially after his son Hyun Min’s departure. Leao has had 12 goals and 13 assists in his name this past season. Portugal International has the qualities to improve them, and he has the physical and technical attributes to make it work in British football as well. However, he is currently uninterested in moving to the Premier League, and the Spurs will find it very difficult to change that stance.
It would be ideal for Tottenham to move on to the target. They need to invest in dynamic attackers that can be slotted in a wide area and operate in the same central location. Dominique Solanke was pretty mediocre on his offense last season, and he needs more support on his offense.
