  • Liverpool is planning to take an active and proactive approach in the transfer market.

Liverpool is preparing to strengthen its offensive ranks in the wake of Darwinnes’ imminent departure, with a £46 million agreement being implemented between Merseyside club and Al Hilal, the Saudi Professional League side.

According to journalist Paul Joyce, the deal is set to be completed soon, marking the end of Nunes’ spell at Anfield and opening the door for a re-shuffle at Liverpool’s forward line under manager Arn Slot.

The Uruguayan striker, arriving at Liverpool from Benfica, struggled to consistently meet expectations during his time at Merseyside.

Al-Hilal had been courting Nunes for several weeks, but finally managed to convince him of an offer that would be beneficial to both the player and Liverpool.

From a Liverpool perspective, the £46 million inflow will significantly boost summer transfer plans. The club is currently actively working to identify potential alternatives to enhance the depth of their offense.

They’ve already signed players like Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz, but they feel they need more offensive additions to their team.

With Nunes leaving the club and Luis Diaz already joining Bayern Munich recently, Slots and his recruiting team are searching the market for more options.

The target of their dreams remains Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac, and they intend to make a move for him, even after seeing their first bid be rejected for him.

Another offensive player currently on the radar for the Premier League champions is Bradley Barcola, the attacker of Paris Saint-Germain.

With Nunez Sale scheduled to be officially completed soon, Reds has turned his attention to the signature attack and has several big names on his wish list.
