  • The extent of James Madison’s injuries have been revealed
  • Tottenham will hold a new talk to sign McAtee

Following news that James Madison is facing a long bystander spell, Tottenham Hotspur reportedly gave a new talk to sign the Premier League-winning alternative.

The extent of James Madison’s injuries have been revealed

As the soccer calendar continues to get more and more crowded, there is no worse feeling for players than an early injury. But that’s exactly what Madison dealt with. The midfielder was kicked out of the field within ten minutes against Newcastle United, with the intention of being a day centered around the emotions of Hyun Min’s son’s departure. And now he’s been handed the worst news.

When it comes to miss out on most of the campaign coming in the World Cup year, Madison is in the omnipotent battle before him as he aims to play at least a small role in Tottenham’s season.

Meanwhile, the people of North London must respond. Their frontline already lacks goals and creativity after their son’s departure, and the problem is now more pronounced following Madison’s premature blow.

Less than 10 days after the first Premier League match of the season against Burnley, Tottenham must ensure that Thomas Frank’s side is set to compete in all aspects towards the transfer market.

For this reason, names such as Jack Grelish are reportedly already listed on the transfer radar. The Manchester City star appears destined to leave Etihad since being removed from the Club World Cup team, and may have the opportunity to decide on his move to Everton and the Spurs.

However, he is not the only Man City star on the Spurs shortlist. Located in North London, Grelish can add to his impressive talent.

Tottenham will hold a new talk to sign McAtee

According to Bootroom’s Graeme Bailey, Tottenham has held a new talk this summer to sign James McAtee in Manchester City. Young midfielders like Grealish are likely to set out in search of game time this month, allowing Spurs to get the most out of their hands.

McAtee is an ideal option for anyone involved in North London, as Madison’s injuries leave a creativity gap in Frank’s midfield. Looking for time in the game, the Premier League-winning midfielder will be slotting straight into Spurs’ current plans and continuing to prove Pep Guardiola wrong in a way that is likely similar to Cole Palmer.

After celebrating Scout Jace Krigg’s “fantastic” start, McAtee was able to finish 2025 with the Spurs Shirt as Lily White continues to strengthen their interest.
