Chedur Sanders silenced his skeptics with a standout debut in the NFL. During the Cleveland Browns’ 10th drive, he completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 19 yards on four attempts. His performance was impressive, showcasing precise timing and smart decision-making, effectively using what the Carolina Panthers’ defense offered and protecting the ball with his playmakers on the outside. Though he made a few mistakes on some deep throws, his strong arm and remarkable speed were evident.

Sanders scored on the third and fifth drives of the game, though the Browns’ special teams muffed a punt near the Panthers’ 10-yard line after the third drive. Taking advantage of the situation, Sanders executed a bootleg to the left and threw a touchdown pass to Cadden Davis in the back corner of the end zone, tying the game. Besides that touchdown, Sanders made several highlight plays, including key scrambles for first downs and a standout throw on third-and-eight from deep in his own territory. His longest completion was a scramble to the right followed by a 30-yard catch by Luke Floriaia, who made an impressive one-handed grab.

Sanders found Davis again for a second touchdown, a 12-yard score that pushed the Browns ahead 14-7. His only significant mistake was on a fourth-and-one run where he ran directly into pressure, but overall, his first half was very strong. In the second half, Sanders led another touchdown drive to extend the lead to 21-7 before giving way to backup Tyler Huntley.

Fan Take: This promising performance from Sanders signals a potential new star for the Browns and the NFL, injecting fresh excitement into the quarterback position. For fans, it’s a reminder of how quickly young talent can shake up the league and redefine their team’s future.
