Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull were spotted wearing matching outfits, a look initially featured by Athlon Sports. Despite Sophie Cunningham stepping into the starting lineup due to a significant injury in the 2025 WNBA season, both she and Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull faced off against Alyssa Thomas and the Phoenix Mercury with a strong bond, even though they compete for the same guard position. Their streak was halted after a loss to the Los Angeles Sparks, but Cunningham had been pivotal in that winning run. Before their game at PHX Arena, the duo was seen leaving their hotel sporting identical bright yellow crop tops with red lettering, paired with red denim bottoms dubbed “Howdy Cowboys.” The only difference in their ensembles was their cowboy boots—Hull in red and Cunningham in black.

Indiana Fever highlighted their coordinated look on Instagram, delighting fans who expressed admiration for their style and camaraderie. Fans commented enthusiastically, praising them both for their fashion and on-court presence, with remarks such as “double trouble” and admiration for their outfits. Cunningham and Hull have been instrumental for the Fever, helping them achieve a 17-13 record before Thursday’s matchup, with Cunningham averaging 8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1 steal per game, while Hull contributes 6.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. After facing the Mercury, the Fever will return to Indianapolis before heading to Chicago for a series of away games.

This story originally appeared in Athlon Sports on August 7, 2025.
