Bigfork – Jeff Cochran played for The Eagle Bend Men’s Member-Guest Tournament “The Wanagan,” and on July 18th he took the car.

Cochrane recorded a hole-in-one at 161 yards No. 4 at the Eagle Bend Golf Club, and acquired a new car courtesy of the Kalispell Auto Group. He used a 9 iron on the shot, which flew directly from the tee to the cup.

“This was one of those unforgettable golf moments,” local real estate broker and sponsor of the hole-in-one contest, David Fettbait told Big Fork Eagle. “For someone to win the car hole-in-one, and in events like Wanagan, it’s added to the magic.”

Reese used a five-iron to ace 157-yard No. 12 at Eagle Bend’s Bareanin. It was Tomala Conrad who witnessed the event.

Hasuke wins a male senior

Great Falls – Missoula’s Bob Hasuke secured a wire-to-wire victory in the 70th Montana Men’s Senior Tournament on Thursday, winning his first senior title with a six-stroke.

Hasquet overcame rain and field full of past title winners and MSGA Hall of Fame induction to film a 3-under 205 at the 54-hole event. He opened with 61 people on Tuesday, fired 69 on Wednesday, then shot 75, including three birdies, to pull away from Billdan (Thursday 79) and Whitefish Lake Golfer Blood Grattan (69).

Dan, who won the tournament in 2021 and 2023, won 62 on Tuesday, with Grattan shooting 65. Both golfers finished with 211.
