The Wolves have an overwhelming summer transfer window, and their results in the preseason once again showed that they needed a new signature.

The Premier League side finished the preseason without a victory, and manager Vitor Pereira is keen to add players to his slim team this summer.

If they don’t act quickly in the market, next season will be a big struggle for them, like last season.

The Premier League side has lost its best player, Matheus Cunha, to Manchester United, and is looking for creative and offensive solutions in the market.

The wolves have stepped up their recruitment drive this summer, reportedly aiming for French forward Matisse Abline from League One Side Nantes.

According to journalist Mike McGrath, the wolves are looking for a contract with a highly rated 22-year-old as they continue to restructure their attack options before a new campaign.

Abline has been attracting attention throughout Europe after an impressive season in France, where he scored 11 goals and showed off his versatility at the frontline.

Playing as a central striker and exuding creative position, he has attracted the attention of clubs not only in France but also in England.

Paris FC has already tested Nantes’ resolve in a bid, but the offer was rejected and the doors remained open for the wolves to move.

Molineux outfits have undergone a major restructuring of their recruitment division this summer. Domenico Teti, recently appointed Director of Pro Football, plays a major role in identifying and securing goals.

Alongside Teti, the club is leaning heavily towards super agent Jorge Mendes and his right-hander Valdil Cardosos.

Mendes sees the wolves as the perfect platform for the development of young strikers, and is believed to be Ablin actively promoting them to make a switch to the Premier League.

Adding promising talent like Abline could prove to sign a statement, as wolves are eager to add firepower and depth of attack.
