  • Newcastle United hopes for Barcelona’s Ferran Torres
  • Barcelona is not going to let Torres go

Newcastle United are exploring a market for new attack options this summer.

Magpies have little time to act and move, as they are not long left in the transfer window to shut down the show.

Eddie Howe and his recruiting team have prioritized attack signatures this summer, but they are facing several set-offs in the market chasing their top forwarding targets.

They initially wanted Joan Pedro, but he chose to join Chelsea. Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko were the next attackers on the radar, but both players preferred the move to Manchester United.

Now, with Alexander Isaac facing an uncertain future due to interest from Liverpool, Howe and his team are looking for an offensive signature to add depth and quality to their team ahead of what is expected to be a challenging season for them.

They are currently targeting the moves of former Premier League attackers who play for La Liga Right Mow.

Hope to return Newcastle United’s Ferran Torres to the Premier League was a hit. Reports from Spain suggest that Barcelona has rejected a significant bid for the versatile attacker.

Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur have offered to the 25-year-old about £43.3 million (€50 million) but the Catalan giant doesn’t want to sell it, according to Spanish outlet Fichejjes.

Torres’ future at Camp Know was the subject of speculation earlier this summer, especially after Marcus Rashford loaned him out from Manchester United to raise questions about his role on the team.

Nevertheless, the Barcelona hierarchy, led by President João, is said to protect the Spanish international from a potential exit and see him as a valuable part of the depths of their squad.

Currently on a contract until 2026, Torres has spent most of his recent time in revolving roles, operating as a backup to Robert Lewandowsky in the central strike position and as an option on both wings.

Though he’s not always a guaranteed starter, the Spanish giants are not planning on leaving the club, as his ability to adapt beyond the frontlines makes him an asset in manager Hansifrik’s plans.
