NEW YORK – Three-time Grand Slam semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov withdrew from the US Open on Tuesday.

Exit from the All-England Club on July 7th – Dimitrov received a two-set opening against Thinner, but in the third Grand Slam tournament he marked a Grand Slam tournament in which 34-year-old Dimitrov was unable to complete the match. It also happened at the Australian Open in January and the French Open in May, and at the Wimbledon and the US Open last year.

A year ago in New York, Dimitrov stopped in the quarterfinals, chasing 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 4-1 against Francistiá Four.

Dimitrov was a semifinalist at the US Open in 2019, the Australia Open in 2017, and Wimbledon in 2014.

His best ranking was third. He is currently ranked 21st.

With Dimitrov off the field, Alejandro Tabilo will win a spot in the men’s singles bracket, which will begin playing on August 24th.

Brandon Holt is the next player to move into a draw if another man retress. Holt upset Taylor Fritz at the Flushing Meadows in 2022, with his mother being two-time US Open champion Tracy Austin.
