Liverpool is looking to improve their defensive forces with the signatures of Mark Guech and Giovanni Leoni.

Liverpool has extensively linked to both players and Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that they are working to sign two players for a few weeks. It will be interesting to see if they can get two deals across the line.

Liverpool needs to be improved defensively

They look defensively vulnerable for the past 12 months and need a quality advocate. Guehi will close his contract next summer, which is a fitting time for him to move on. Crystal Palace will need to sell him unless he wants to lose him on a free transfer next year.

Guehi has proven himself in Crystal Palace and the Premier League, and this is a time when he deserves to take on a new challenge. He helped the Eagles win the FA Cup and Community Shield. He now wants to fight for the major trophies, and Liverpool can provide him with that platform.

Meanwhile, Leoni is outstanding for Parma, with the 18-year-old receiving high praise throughout Europe. He has the tools to develop into a top-class player. Moving to Liverpool will unlock his true potential.
